I made a button bracelet for the grand jewelry project. I used stretchy string and little buttons. It took longer than I thought it would take.

Jewelry

We have been in a jewelry unit where we have made lots of bracelets and necklaces. My favorite are probably the hemp bracelets. I also like the stretchy string bead bracelets.

Wire and Nylon Sculpture

I made leaves. I used wire and nylon and paint. I learned how to use the nylon in my projects. I liked the painting part. I wish I would've made something bigger because I like the effect it gave on other people's sculptures. Plus this looks like crap.

Repeated Object

I made a little puffball. I used plastic bags, hemp, and cardboard. I learned that it takes a long time to make this project. I think that my puffball is cute and unique. A weakness of this project is that it took a long time.

3D Cardboard project

I made flowers in a vase. I used cardboard, oil pastels, and wire. I learned how to use wire better and blend oil pastels. My favorite part is the tulip because I had the most color detail. My least favorite part is the white flower.

Zen tangle sculpture

1. I made a zendoodle before I made this sculpture, and tried to base my ideas on that drawing. I used canvas, felt, beads, buttons, paper mache, and much more.

2. I learned a lot about filling in space, because sometimes I ran out of ideas so I did a lot of brain storming.

3. I am most proud of my mountains, they were fun to paint and fun to build.

4. I am least proud of my puff paint. I thought it would be like drawing, but it was hard to get the hang of drawing with it.

~my summer projects~

Over the summer I took some classes at the Des Moines Art Center.

<---This is an illustration I drew. We were asked to illustrate a story, so this is an illustration of Cinderella.

<--- This is a picture of a water color piece I painted. We had to make an advertisement, so I cut the lady out of a magazine and made the rest.

<---This is the mosaic piece I mad e this summer. It is a tropical fish. I think they are called angelfish, but I'm not sure. :)
